The Redlands Footlighters will present “The Women of Lockerbie,” a 2005 drama by Deborah Brevoort, opening 7:30 p.m. Feb. 16 at the Footlighters Theatre at 1810 Barton Road, Redlands.

In the play, loosely inspired by the story of the 1988 bombing of Pan Am Flight 103, Madeline, played by Jessicah Neufeld in the Footlighters’ production, searches for the body of her son who died in the crash over Lockerbie, Scotland. It’s seven years after the crash and her husband, played by Phillip Gabriel, tries to help her move on from the tragedy.

At the same time, the women of the town of Lockerbie are on a mission to convert an act of hate into an act of love, even if it goes against government protocol.

Pam Lambert directs the Footlighters’ production. Cast members, in addition to Neufeld and Gabriel, are Ginny Harman, Haley Guzman, Kadn Fox, Karisa Harriman, Mary Kay Vande Logt and Anne Malcolm, according to a news release.

After opening night, performances continue at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays through March 3. On the final Saturday, March 2, there are performances at 2 and 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are $18 for adults, $12 for students with ID and $15 each for groups of 10 or more, available at the box office and at .
