Chipotle Mexican Grill is marking Leap Year by offering free guacamole on Thursday, Feb. 29.

The offer is for a free small side or entrée topping of guac with purchase of a full-priced entrée item, according to a news release from the Newport Beach-based chain.

It is good at participating locations for digital and online customers who use the code EXTRA24 on that date, according to a news release.

Chipotle also has a  “Extra Day, Extra Codes” challenge running on Instagram Monday, Feb. 26, through Feb. 29. Fans are invited to look for keywords hidden in Instagram content for the chance to win free guacamole for a year.

Chipotle is not the only business marking the extra day in February this year. Here is what some other chains have announced.

BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse: The casual chain is offering $2.29 Pizookies with a minimum $10 purchase for dine-in customers on Feb. 29. Options include its limited time Cinnamon Roll Pizookie.

Circle K: This isn’t a food deal, but the convenience store is offering 40 cents off per gallon of fuel from 4-7 p.m. at participating West Coast locations, plus 50% off car washes.

Dog Haus: App users can get 4X points for pickup and delivery purchases today, according to an .

Duck Donuts: Shops are offering a cinnamon sugar doughnut with a medium hot coffee or cold brew for $2.29 on Feb. 29.

Dunkin’: Rewards members can get 4X points and a medium Cinnamon Vanilla Coffee for $2 on the app or by scanning their Dunkin’ Rewards ID at checkout.

Krispy Kreme: A dozen Original Glazed doughnuts go for $2.29. Use the code LEAPDAY at checkout at participating shops. And people who were born on Feb. 29 and can prove can get a dozen for free.

Lucille’s Smokehouse Bar-B-Que: Diners can buy one full rack of baby back ribs and get a half rack for free on Feb. 29. 

Taco Bell: App users can order a Crunchwrap Supreme for $2.29.

Wendy’s: The burger chain is offering a free serving of its new Cinnabon Pull-Apart breakfast item on Feb. 29 at participating locations. No purchase or loyalty membership is necessary, according to the chain. The offer is good for one adult per group inside the restaurant or one per vehicle for drive-thru customers.
