Music, dancing and food highlighted an early Cinco de Mayo celebration at Norco College on Thursday, May 2.

Rubidoux High School’s Ballet Folklorico, Baile y Cultura Club performed in the event sponsored by Associated Students of Norco College and the Puente program.

More celebrations are to come in the Inland Empire over next few days as residents mark the day that outnumbered .

CORONA

The city’s 50th annual Cinco de Mayo Parade and Fiesta is set for Saturday, May 4.

The event is set for 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at City Park.

It will include a queen contest that raises money for scholarships given by the Corona Cinco de Mayo Committee. The fiesta will include booths, food and entertainment, including a kids zone. The parade will begin at 10 a.m. at the corner of Sixth and Merrill streets, go east on Sixth Street and end at the park.

PERRIS

The city’s second annual Cinco de Mayo Festival is set for Saturday, May 4.

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the lawn at City Hall, 101 N. D St. It will include food, entertainment and family activities.

RIVERSIDE

The Cinco de Mayo Banda Festival is scheduled for Saturday, May 11, at Riverside’s White Park.

The event is set for noon to 11 p.m. and will feature music, dancing, food, a beer garden and Lucha Libre wrestling.

Youths 12 and younger are free. Others are $25. The park is at 3936 Chestnut St.

COLTON

The Teen Hub’s Cinco de Mayo Fiesta is set for Friday, May 3.

The event, set for 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., will include activities, music, games, prizes and snacks for youths between 12 and 17. It will be at the Art Thompson Teen Center,  651 N. Mt. Vernon Ave.

Pre-registration is required and the cost is $8.

SAN BERNARDINO

For Cinco de Mayo weekend, the Inland Empire 66ers minor league baseball team will don special uniforms and give away a bobblehead.

On Friday, May 3, and Saturday, May 4, the team will don special “Pachucos” uniforms. On Saturday, they will give away a Pachuco bobblehead.

SAN BERNARDINO 

A Cinco de Mayo Fiesta is set for Sunday, May 5, at Placita Park.

The event is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will include a car show, vendors and entertainment.

The park is at 685 N. Mt. Vernon Ave.
