Gloria Guerrero OBITUARY

Gloria “Go-Go” Guerrero was born in Yuma, Arizona on March 27, 1948. She peacefully passed away in Riverside, California on February 20, 2024. Gloria grew up in Lincoln Heights, California where she attended high school, worked at her father’s store, and was also employed with the County of Los Angeles. In 1985, Gloria moved to Riverside with her immediate family and devoted 20 years of her time to Riverside Unified School District (RUSD) as a bilingual teacher’s aide. Gloria lost her life at 75 years young after a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Robert Guerrero, her mother, three sisters, brother, two children and grandchildren. She exemplified traits of selflessness, patience, and understanding, touching numerous lives with her unconditional love. Gloria’s quick wit, sassiness, honesty, and intentional acts of kindness deeply impacted all who knew her. As a daughter, wife, aunt, mother, grandmother, and friend, Gloria exemplified resilience and unwavering support. She devoted herself tirelessly to caring for those around her, offering warmth and solace to those in need. Her loved ones cherish memories of laughter, subway sandwich (“sangwich”) runs, river trips, and her acting as a partner in crime. Gloria’s boundless love for her family and her unparalleled loyalty were evident to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a source of wisdom, humor, and unwavering support. Gloria’s memory will be cherished forever by those she touched. Rest peacefully, Go-Go, knowing that your love and light will continue to illuminate our lives. In her honor, a celebration of a Colorful Life will be held at 11:00 am at St. Catherine’s of Alexandria Catholic Church in Riverside, California. Immediately after, a reception will take place to celebrate her life at the Guerrero Residence. The Guerrero Residence address is 7830 Golden Star Avenue, Riverside, CA, 92506.
