Jean Geitner OBITUARY

With deep sadness, the family of Jean (Jeanne) Geitner shares her peaceful passing on April 26, 2024 in Weiser, Idaho. Jeanne was married to James whereby they spent 46 wonderful years in Ontario, California. Jeanne assisted James with a successful lawn and tree business in the early 70’s, volunteered for six years at Pilgrim Place in Claremont, and continued to volunteer leading, organizing, and energizing the “Clothes Closet” for the First Christian Church of Ontario. The Clothes Closet gave people in need many clothing options organized successfully for over 10 years. Jeanne led her army of friends of the church to provide free clothing to eighty-five patrons weekly. Due to her exceptional amount of volunteer time, Jeanne was awarded “The Living Stone” by the First Christian Church. Jeanne continued to have a passion for helping others, cooking, writing, crafting, and taking care of her grandchildren. Jeanne is survived by her four daughters and sons-in-law, Joanne and Rich Miller of Palm Desert, CA., Jacqueline and John Lind of Alta Loma, CA., Joyce and John Tonts of Crestline, CA., and Julia and Gordon Olson of New Meadows, Idaho. Jeanne will be fondly remembered by her six grandchildren, Angelica, Lauren, Rachell, Scott, Jennell and Ryan; six great grandchildren, and a host of special friends.Jeanne led a well-lived life and was rewarded with a very peaceful passing. Her memories will be held closely in our hearts. At Jeannie’s request there will be no service or calling hours. Flowers are gratefully declined, and at Jeanne’s request a donation may be made at your local animal shelter as Jeanne loved her pups! Jeanne will rest at Bellevue Cemetery, Ontario, Ca.
