Loving wife of Phil Galloway for 54 years, sister to Anita (Steve) Pappas of Ridgecrest, CA, and Janet (Victor) Maldonado of Bloomfield Hills, MI, and half-siblings Fred Evans of Hemet, CA, and Tara Lee (Scott) Jensen of Nuevo, CA. Cherished mother of her children Angie, JP (Bambi) Galloway and Jeff (Missy) Galloway, grandmother of eight, great-grandmother of two. She will also be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.She was born in Hemet, CA, and was preceded in death by her parents Henry Evans and Betty Otta nee Brown, and her sister Marjorie “Margie” Bailey.Kathy, with her sister Margie and her friend Louise, opened One Antique Place in Ridgecrest, CA. It was a successful business for eleven years. After they sold the store, Kathy continued to sell online and remained an avid collector of antiques. Over the years, Kathy had multiple shar pei dogs that she loved very much. She also loved reading, playing games, bingo, butterflies, playing cards, and going to tai chi with her friends.Cremation services were entrusted to Noblin Mortuary in Belen. Kathy’s ashes will be interred at a later date in the Veterans Memorial Wall in Santa Fe, NM.A private memorial service celebrating Kathy’s life will be held in New Mexico this Spring at a date and place to be determined.
