Robert Harry Anke joined his beloved wife in Heaven on January 25, 2024 at the age of 82 in his home in Chino Hills, CA.Bob was born September 18, 1941 in San Diego, CA to parents Robert W. and Leila G. (Holloway) Anke.Bob graduated from Pomona High School and married Patricia Parker. They had 1 daughter before divorcing in 1965. Bob married Kathleen Carney Anke August 12, 1966, and they began their family, living in Pomona, having 3 children before settling in Claremont, CA in 1976.Bob worked most of his career for General Dynamics in Pomona, relocating to Arizona when Hughes then Raytheon bought out the company. He retired from Raytheon in 2002, returning home full-time to Claremont.Bob is survived by 4 children; Leila (Bob) Auer of Chino, CA, Kristine Gordon of Navasota, TX, Robert (Stephanie) Anke of Pleasant Valley, CA, and Patrick (Heather) Anke of Phoenix, AZ. Bob is also survived by 3 grandsons; Robby Auer, Christian Anke and Isaac Anke as well as his brother Lee (Traute) Anke of Vista, CA.Bob was preceded in death by his adored wife, Kathleen Anke and his only granddaughter, Layla Auer.Services are being held at Forest Lawn in Covina Hills, CA on March 2, 2024.
