Shirley Ballard OBITUARY
Shirley Ballard’s love of life didn’t come to an end with her death. Shirley passed away on February 14, 2024 at the age of 73 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest. Her pleasant personality and contagious laugh made everyone she crossed paths with love her. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Shirley, like her love of a good margarita. Her passion for sports, particularly for the Dodgers, Lakers, and UCLA was beyond imagination. It was an experience of its own to watch her yell at the TV as if they could hear her. During beautiful weather, Shirley loved looking out her window and watching the hummingbirds eat from the bird feeder. Shirley is survived by her husband of 47 years, William “Jerry” Ballard; sisters, Joyce Wagner and Beverly Tillman; nephews Jeffrey Wagner, Zachary Wagner and Eric Gernux; niece Lizette Betancourt; and many more loving friends and relatives.
